Part time Pharmacist (alternating weekends)

About the role
The Staff Pharmacist will prepare compounded sterile products and perform related activities under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. Assists in supervising IV technicians, interns, and other support personnel.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to all policies and procedures.
- Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies.
- Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing; resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel.
- Provides after-hours on-call coverage as needed.
- Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.
- Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory.
- Maintains positive customer relationships.
- May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews work for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or PharmD required.
- 1+ years of related experience required.
- Valid Pharmacist license in Texas.
- Completion of ACPE-accredited IV Certification.

Schedule
11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with alternating weekends and company holidays.
Pay
Salary range is $57.81 – $72.50 per hour.
