About the role

This position is responsible for pharmacist tasks across various settings including acute care/infusion, ambulatory care/population health, and retail. Responsibilities include reviewing provider orders, dispensing and compounding medications, counseling patients, managing drug therapy, and providing educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Acute Care/Infusion: Reviews provider orders, dispenses medications, counsels patients, manages drug therapy, and provides educational programs.
• Ambulatory Care/Population Health: Manages drug therapy, partners with individuals, assists with policy development, and provides educational programs.
• Retail: Reviews provider orders, dispenses medications, counsels patients, manages drug therapy, and provides educational programs.
• Medsafety, Stewardship, & Utilization: Leads safety, stewardship, and utilization strategies, facilitates committees, and ensures compliance with medication use standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - Board of Pharmacy Specialties
• BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
• Current Ohio pharmacist license
• Completion of a Pharmacy Practice residency or equivalent hospital experience
• Experience in pharmacology, therapeutics, aseptic technique, and drug literature review
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and RPh from an accredited institution.
