About the role
This position is responsible for pharmacist tasks across various settings including acute care/infusion, ambulatory care/population health, and retail. Responsibilities include reviewing provider orders, dispensing and compounding medications, counseling patients, managing drug therapy, and providing educational programs.
Responsibilities
- Acute Care/Infusion: Reviews provider orders, dispenses medications, counsels patients, manages drug therapy, and provides educational programs.
- Ambulatory Care/Population Health: Manages drug therapy, partners with individuals, assists with policy development, and provides educational programs.
- Retail: Reviews provider orders, dispenses medications, counsels patients, manages drug therapy, and provides educational programs.
- Medsafety, Stewardship, & Utilization: Leads safety, stewardship, and utilization strategies, facilitates committees, and ensures compliance with medication use standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - Board of Pharmacy Specialties
- BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Current Ohio pharmacist license
- Completion of a Pharmacy Practice residency or equivalent hospital experience
- Experience in pharmacology, therapeutics, aseptic technique, and drug literature review
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and RPh from an accredited institution.
