Description

Provides high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients receiving cancer-related therapies in a fast-paced outpatient oncology infusion clinic. Supports safe medication use through order verification, sterile compounding oversight, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary oncology care team.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, verifies, and dispenses chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and supportive care medications in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs clinical evaluation of oncology treatment plans, including dosing, laboratory values, and protocol compliance.
  • Provides drug information and clinical support to physicians, advanced practice providers and nurses.
  • Safeguards hazardous medications in compliance with USP, , and institutional standards.
  • Supports medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts within the oncology service line.
  • Documents clinical interventions and communicates effectively across the care team.
  • Maintains competency in oncology pharmacy practice and sterile compounding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
  • PGY1 residency or equivalent experience.
  • PGY2 Oncology residency and/or Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP).
  • Experience working in an outpatient cancer center or infusion clinic.

Pay

$57.50 - $80.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Schedule

PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks), Will cover primarily weekday clinic operations and occasional weekends.
