Description
Provides high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients receiving cancer-related therapies in a fast-paced outpatient oncology infusion clinic. Supports safe medication use through order verification, sterile compounding oversight, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary oncology care team.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, verifies, and dispenses chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and supportive care medications in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Performs clinical evaluation of oncology treatment plans, including dosing, laboratory values, and protocol compliance.
- Provides drug information and clinical support to physicians, advanced practice providers and nurses.
- Safeguards hazardous medications in compliance with USP, , and institutional standards.
- Supports medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts within the oncology service line.
- Documents clinical interventions and communicates effectively across the care team.
- Maintains competency in oncology pharmacy practice and sterile compounding.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
- State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
- PGY1 residency or equivalent experience.
- PGY2 Oncology residency and/or Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP).
- Experience working in an outpatient cancer center or infusion clinic.
Pay
$57.50 - $80.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Schedule
PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks), Will cover primarily weekday clinic operations and occasional weekends.
