Key Responsibilities
- Assess the identity, strength and purity of medications.
- Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain the needed ingredients, and evaluate their suitability.
- Compound and dispense medications following prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized medical practitioners.
- Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.
- Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
- Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal.
- Open the pharmacy on a daily basis and be present per state board regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid RPh license in Kentucky and live in IN.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on building patient rapport.
- Display exceptional listening and interpersonal abilities to ensure patient satisfaction and trust.
- Exhibit a professional attitude, maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with a virtual or decentralized team.
- Ensure the preservation and protection of confidential patient information.
- Strong self/time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant software applications.
Qualifications
- Must have a current Kentucky Pharmacy Technician License.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Pay
- (Primarily) Monday - Friday Day Shift 8-5pm
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with additional time as required based on daily workloads.
- Saturday and on-call rotation to support customers and production schedules.
Physical Requirements
- This position does not require standing for extended periods of time (chairs are provided).
- Heavy lifting is not required, but the Pharmacist should be able to lift up to 10lbs.
- The ability to push wheeled carts containing a number of bins from one location to another.
- Operating a desktop keyboard and mouse.
- Communicating with employees, patients, caregivers, and physicians by phone, fax, and email in a courteous and professional manner.
