Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience
- Must be registered as an Extern / Intern by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon State Board of Pharmacy.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Health system and pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
Essential Functions
- Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physicians’ request under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.
- Affirms the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Assists pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services that are within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
- Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
- Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
- Intervenes and communicates effectively with the medical staff and other health professionals.
- Exhibits exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Displays basic computer skills.
- Adapts to institutional roles and schedules.
- Creates and fosters a cooperative team work environment.
