Employment Type: Part time, Per Diem

About the role

The pharmacist will be responsible for all medication verification/distribution and clinical activities. The candidate should have knowledge of automated medication distribution systems, USP 797, and the ability to prepare intravenous medication utilizing aseptic technique. The successful candidate should possess good communication skills, including the ability to interact successfully with other colleagues to ensure efficient and safe distribution of medications. Ability to promote teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Order verification
  • Pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing
  • Attending emergent responses to prepare medications and recommend dosing
  • Clinical initiatives such as IV to PO interchanges
  • Microbiology culture review and recommendations
  • Providing drug information

Requirements

  • Successful completion of PharmD program
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • PGY1 residency (preferred)
  • Hospital experience preferred

Schedule

  • Rotating shift (PRN per department needs)
  • Minimum scheduling requirement of one weekend every 4 weeks
  • 2-3 holidays per year
  • Opportunity to pick up additional shifts as available
