Pharmacist-Inpatient Pharmacy

Location: Kettering Health Dayton, Dayton. Employment type: Part‑time. Shifts: Varied.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe, effective, and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Provides medication therapy management and patient education.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to promote safe medication use and regulatory compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Carries out all responsibilities in alignment with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Completion of pharmacy internship requirements as defined by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current and active Pharmacist license issued by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy residency program (PGY‑1 or PGY‑2) or advanced clinical pharmacy training.
• Experience in a hospital, long‑term care, infusion, or specialty pharmacy setting with exposure to oncology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; Board certification in a pharmacy specialty.
