Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) - Long-Term Care Pharmacy
About the role
AllCare.ai is transforming senior healthcare by delivering fully coordinated, in-facility care built around one shared care plan. We bring together in-facility providers — including primary care, psychiatry, podiatry, diagnostics, wound care, and chronic care management — alongside pharmacy services, all supported by a 24/7 medical concierge team to ensure seamless, high-quality care for residents. AllRx.ai is the pharmacy network that powers AllCare.ai's delivery model — a digital long-term care (LTC) pharmacy redefining how medications are dispensed to LTC facilities across Southern California. We provide synchronized dose-packing, real-time order tracking, and same-day delivery — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness for every patient. Together, AllCare.ai and AllRx.ai form an integrated ecosystem that unites providers and pharmacists under one connected system, ensuring coordinated, data-driven care from prescription to delivery.
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead AllRx.ai's Alhambra pharmacy team. As PIC, you'll be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate, safe, and timely dispensing for our long-term care facility partners, and maintaining full regulatory compliance. This role combines clinical leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on compounding work in a fast-paced, tech-enabled pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the pharmacy's designated PIC, holding overall responsibility for the pharmacy's compliance with California Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, and LTC-specific standards.
- Review, verify, and approve prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with California pharmacy law and facility protocols.
- Oversee daily dispensing operations, including synchronized dose-packing, to meet AllRx's accuracy and turnaround standards.
- Perform and/or oversee non-sterile and/or sterile compounding in accordance with USP standards and California Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Perform drug utilization review (DUR), identify interactions or therapeutic concerns, and communicate with prescribers as needed.
- Oversee proper ordering, storage, dispensing, and recordkeeping of controlled substances in full compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists, ensuring smooth, accurate workflows and adherence to protocols.
