Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) - Interim

About the role

This is an interim PIC opportunity created to support the pharmacy during a leave of absence. The role is expected to be temporary in nature, with the potential to transition into a permanent position depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence
• Build effective relationships with local physicians and medical community to ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medication to patients
• Own pharmacy operations and embrace continual improvement, learning, and leading to provide the best possible patient care and empower the pharmacy team’s development
• Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more
• Lead the pharmacy team and contribute to a community's well-being
• Drive efficient, effective, and continually improving pharmacy operations

Requirements

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Successful completion of Louisiana state pharmacy board examination
• Pharmacist license current and in good standing in Louisiana
• Up-to-date on all continuing education requirements
• Two (2) years of experience in the practice of pharmacy
• Two (2) years of experience in pharmacy management

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, successful completion of Louisiana state pharmacy board examination, Pharmacist license current and in good standing in Louisiana, up-to-date on all continuing education requirements, two (2) year of experience in the practice of pharmacy
• Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in pharmacy management
