Summary
Administers medication to patients according to prescriptions, educates patients about drug use, and manages pharmacy operations. Communicates with healthcare providers and participates in patient-centered services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complies with federal, state laws, and company policies.
- Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, maintains records, and ensures accurate billing and inventory management.
- Counsels patients and medical providers on drug use, interactions, and side effects, and monitors patient health.
- Participates in immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
- Supervises pharmacy staff and provides guidance and training.
- Manages workflow and resolves customer issues.
- Participates in business development and quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.
- Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
- Immunization Certification.
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and leadership abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to manage others.
- Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively.
- Maintains professional appearance and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- May be required to submit to DL Monitoring.
Education and Experience
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
