Summary
Administers medication to patients according to prescriptions, provides patient education, and participates in various patient-centered services. Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy department and supervising staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complies with federal, state laws, and company policies.
- Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, maintains records, and manages inventory.
- Counsels patients and medical providers on drug use, interactions, and side effects.
- Participates in immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
- Supervises pharmacy staff and ensures compliance with policies.
- Trains pharmacy interns, technicians, and associates.
- Provides exemplary service and resolves customer issues.
- Engages in business development and quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.
- Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
- Immunization Certification.
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and leadership abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and evaluate others' work.
- Professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
- Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Age 21 or older.
- Passes DL Monitoring.
