Pharmacist, Dispensing (contract)

About the role

The Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for accurately and timely dispensing of prescribed medication to patients. Work assignments are varied and may require interpretation and independent determination of appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards
• Accurately track techniques and review process before shipping medications to patients
• Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy
• Make decisions regarding own work methods, sometimes in ambiguous situations
• Work well in a group and solve problems collaboratively
• Show focus, accuracy, and productivity in work ethic
• Communicate effectively and proficiently with computers

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Licensed as a PHARMACIST in state(s) of practice
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
• Self-directed but also capable of working in a team
• Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
• Focus, accuracy, and productivity in work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with computers

Qualifications

• 3 or more years experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment

Pay

Pay Rate Range: 61 - 66 USD hourly
