Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and oversee daily pharmacy operations
• Consult with physicians, nurse practitioners, veterinarians, and patients regarding customized medication solutions
• Review compounded formulations for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
• Ensure compliance with USP , , state, and federal regulations
• Counsel patients on compounded medications and proper administration
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Assist in developing new compounded formulations and pharmacy services
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous process improvement
• Help build lasting relationships with local healthcare providers

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (or ability to become licensed in Tennessee)
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Compounding experience (non-sterile and/or sterile) (preferred)
• Pharm.D. (preferred)
• Experience with veterinary or hormone replacement therapy compounding (preferred)
• Familiarity with USP standards (preferred)
• Independent pharmacy experience (preferred)
