About the role
Provides Pharmaceutical Care to patients in Kentucky Children's Hospital inpatient hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and interprets medication orders and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed
- Contacts and confers with physicians and other practitioners to optimize drug therapy, including active review of patient profiles, provision of therapeutic drug monitoring, and participation in emergency response
- Compounds and dispenses medications for neonatal and pediatric patients
- Provides supervision of technical staff and confirms the quality and accuracy of dispensed products
- Maintains inventory and records on narcotics and other forms of drugs
Requirements
- BS degree required
- Licensed Pharmacist
- No related experience required
Qualifications
- PharmD degree preferred
- ASHP PGY1 residency and/or PGY2 specialty residency preferred

Schedule
Second shift, Monday through Thursday. One summer and one winter holiday per year.
