About the role
TTUHSC is a nationally recognized institution that provides comprehensive health care services and educates students. The position is the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and involves compounding and dispensing medications, administering vaccinations, and supervising pharmacy personnel.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing medication to fill outpatient prescriptions written by qualified personnel.
- Administering vaccinations and other injectable medications pursuant to a prescription order or under a collaborative management agreement.
- Ensuring pharmacy personnel adhere to all Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules, quality assurance measures, and TTUHSC and School of Pharmacy Policies.
- Precepting pharmacy students and technicians when assigned.
- Managing all pharmacy personnel including staff and students in the pharmacy.
Requirements
- Education: Graduated from an approved accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Licenses/Certifications: Certification by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience: At least one year of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
- Prior outpatient pharmacy management experience is preferred.

Pay
Monthly Pay Grade: 120,000 - 140,000
