Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist at MultiCare is responsible for providing prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services to patients, nurses, and physicians. This role involves dispensing medications, interpreting IV admixture orders, manufacturing nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations, supervising support personnel, and inspecting pharmaceutical supplies.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications to patients
• Interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
• Maintain appropriate records for nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations
• Supervise support personnel and perform final checks on completed work
• Assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
• Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services

Requirements

• Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
• Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
• Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in settings such as hospital, retail, clinic or other
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale for this position ranges from $72.97 to $98.05 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, years of experience, and certifications/education. For positions associated with union contracts, pay scales reflect appropriate steps on the pay scale based on years of experience.
