Pharmacist

About the role

Serves as a clinical pharmacist providing direct pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care for patients with chronic disease states.

Requirements

A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
• Current licensure as a pharmacist in at least one state.
• Experience in providing pharmaceutical care to patients with chronic disease states.
• Experience managing selected patients with chronic disease states.
• Experience providing pharmaceutical care to acute patients.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and drug therapy.
• Ability to manage patient care plans.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and pharmacy management systems.
