Pharmacist

About the role

Serves as a clinical pharmacist providing direct pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care for patients with chronic disease states.
• Manages selected patients with chronic disease states.
• Provides pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Requirements

A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
• Current license to practice pharmacy in at least one state.
• Experience in providing pharmaceutical care for patients with chronic disease states.
• Experience managing selected patients with chronic disease states.
• Experience providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software tools.
