Pharmacist

About the role

Serves as a clinical pharmacist providing direct pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
• Current licensure as a pharmacist in at least one state.
• Experience in providing pharmaceutical care to patients within the Indian Health Service.
• Experience managing patients with chronic disease states.
• Experience providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and pharmacy management systems.
