Scope of Responsibilities
- Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department.
- Relying on experience and professional judgment, plans and accomplishes assigned tasks and goals.
- Implements and adheres to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice for high-quality healthcare services.
- Dispenses prescriptions accurately and follows quality assurance steps.
- Reports dispensing incidents promptly according to company guidelines.
- Fulfills State and Federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Submits, resubmits, and collects third-party claims.
- Maintains and balances pharmacy inventory to meet customer needs.
- Maintains prescription files and other records in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Maintains outstanding customer service standards.
- Enforces loss prevention policies and reports deviations.
- Maintains a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
- Maintains professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Stays informed about developments in pharmacy and healthcare fields and applies them to practice.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Communicates effectively among pharmacy staff and professional staff.
- Works on-call schedule, if required.
- Participates in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy department personnel.
- Conducts medication therapy management (MTM), immediate medication review (IMMR), short-stay reviews, and discharge deliveries.
- Supports consultant pharmacists and maintains compliance at customer locations.
- Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within those guidelines.
- Interacts with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
- Completes mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Requirements
- Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic keyboarding skills.
Compensation
$81,931.20 - $123,496.06 per year. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors including relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
