Your role
Ensure Patient Safety: Review medication orders to catch and prevent drug-related issues, making sure patients receive the correct medication, dosage, and administration.
Manage Pharmacy Operations: Supervise technicians to maintain an accurate and efficient workflow for preparing, storing, and dispensing medications.
Control Costs: Recommend less expensive, but equally effective, formulary alternatives to help the hospital manage medication expenses.
Educate and Inform: Serve as the go-to expert for drug information and provide education to both medical staff and patients, sometimes mentoring pharmacy students.
Minimum requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
Additional preferences
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital pharmacy
- Working knowledge of computers
- Good interpersonal skills
