About the role

SSH‑West Allis is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Pharmacists play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care throughout the patient’s stay.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure adequate drug supplies are available in the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly inform and instruct patients on medications they will use after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug‑therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Successful completion of all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
• Current state pharmacist licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by the state.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus an advanced degree, or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.
