About the role

The US Respiratory Sales role at GSK focuses on bringing industry-leading products within primary care to market. It involves convincing high-potential physicians and allied health professionals to prescribe GSK products instead of competitors' products through face-to-face interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive territory sales performance to increase product market share and volumes of COPD and Asthma products.
  • Take full ownership and accountability over actions and activity levels aligned with GSK strategy.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of market, GSK products, and competitive products for effective competitive selling.
  • Proactively analyze sales data and develop territory business plans to consistently grow the business.
  • Collaborate with territory team members to develop dynamic routing and call schedules to support sales plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other GSK functions.
  • Proactively resource reach and frequency activities, in-services, and educational programs.
  • Complete all administrative requirements associated with the role accurately and on time, including distributing and tracking FDA-regulated product samples, daily call recordings, completing required role-related eLearning modules, and regular customer maintenance and expenses.
  • Adhere to and follow GSK policies, practices, risk-adverse standards, and values in support of customers, patients, fellow employees, and individual expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated sales experience with a successful track record of exceeding expectations.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Valid Driver’s License - Must be able to drive or operate a vehicle as driving is an essential function of this role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in healthcare-related sales, specifically in respiratory and allergy.
  • Familiarity with Managed Care Plans, Insurance Formularies, Retail Pharmacies, and understanding prescription processing, prior authorizations, etc.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities.
  • Strong business planning skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Can work independently with strong attention to detail.
