About the role

The Specialist, Pharma Support Services serves as the designated representative on their assigned program(s) to ensure delivery of the referral management process to external partners. This role collaborates with the Clinical Product Support Team to understand assigned program(s) and contracted requirements, ensuring referral service delivery as contracted. Success is measured by delivering per contracted KPI metrics and accurate, timely data collection/reporting. The Specialist maintains positive relationships with pharma, HUB, and internal/external operational, sales, and patient registration teams.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with assigned program representatives to provide referral coordination updates.
  • Work alongside local/internal operational partners to drive implementation and coordination of assigned referrals.
  • Engage in daily communication with patients, providers, and assistance programs to support coordination and execution of contract obligations, ensuring patient satisfaction.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure assigned tasks are completed; initiate data/information collection and entry.
  • Collect and report information relative to program requirements.
  • Participate in business review presentations and contractually agreed-upon meetings as directed by clients.
  • Assist in developing related SOPs, workflows, and project plans for identified programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in health insurance, specialty pharmacy, patient registration, or a similar role with external-facing responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes (Benefit Verifications/Prior Authorization), preferably in specialized pharmacy therapies.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of customer service focus.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Ability to work on a personal computer or laptop for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in specialty pharmacy, home infusions, home care, or health insurance.

Pay

Salary range is $21.83–$36.36 per hour, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market alignment.
