Responsibilities
- Engineering and characterizing cell lines (e.g., CRISPR, overexpression using chemical or virus delivery systems) as well as maintaining and culturing various cell lines.
- Designing and executing experiments that integrate biochemical and cell-based approaches.
- Applying biochemical and molecular biology assays (e.g., binding assays, protein-protein interaction studies, RT-q-PCR, pulldown, western blotting) to support target validation and mechanistic studies.
- Contributing to experimental design/execution, data interpretation, troubleshooting.
- Preparing technical reports and scientific presentations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field, with 1–3 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays and biochemistry/molecular biology assays, such as ligand binding assays and ELISA.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (such as GraphPad Prism, ImageJ).
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Works well both as a team and as an individual.
- Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
