Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA seeks a PFS Specialist I to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate filing of insurance claims and resolving patient issues.

• Ensures designated claims for Commercial, Workman Comp, Medicaid Secondary or Medicare insurance are filed to the insurance company and collected in a timely and accurate manner.
• Aids in resolving patient requests and issues as requested.
• Notes all actions taken on accounts thoroughly in the computer system.
• Completes Medicare Credit Balance report quarterly if applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of previous hospital business office experience related to insurance claim filing and collection.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance reimbursement methods required.
