PFS Specialist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
• Maintains and improves accounts receivable.
• Applies “common sense” approach to problem solving.
• Demonstrates multi-task orientation.
• Interprets and applies complex governmental regulations in regard to Medicare and Medicaid to the revenue cycle.
• Works directly with patient families to resolve billing and service issues.

Education And/Or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with Epic software preferred.
• Prior experience working in a medical billing office preferred.
