About the role
Our client, one of the most established and respected reservoir evaluation consulting firms in the oil and gas industry, is looking for an experienced Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer to join their Houston team.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary administrator for decline analysis software supporting forecasts and economic evaluations
- Engage directly with clients on reserves audits, evaluations, and certifications throughout the year
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
- Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows using macros, scripts, or other innovative tools
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client solutions
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Petroleum Engineering preferred
- 7+ years of reservoir engineering experience
- Strong background in unconventional reservoirs including decline curve analysis, forecasting, and type curve creation
- Solid understanding of classical reservoir engineering principles, reserves estimation, and fluid/rock characterization
- Proficiency in ARIES, PHDWin, and Microsoft Office Suite - ComboCurve and Spotfire are a plus
- Working knowledge of geology, geophysics, and petrophysics as they relate to reservoir performance
- Texas PE license, offshore Gulf of Mexico experience, and SEC/PRMS reserves knowledge are all preferred
