Pet Groomer

About the role

Oxford Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is seeking a full-time groomer to join our team in Overland Park, KS. Our ideal candidate will perform full-service grooming, handle pets of various sizes and temperaments, and maintain a clean and hygienic workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims
• Safely and humanely handle pets of varying sizes, breeds, temperaments, and coat types
• Report any abnormal presentations of pets to the attending veterinarian and technical staff
• Assess coat and skin condition and communicate any concerns to pet owners and medical team
• Maintain an organized, safe, and hygienic grooming workspace
• Bring a positive attitude and collaborate with the team

Requirements

• Experience in pet grooming preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Current CPR certification

Pay

The base hourly rate is based on experience, skill level, and location. Groomers are also eligible for commission, which is calculated as a percentage of the grooming services provided and is performance-based.

Schedule

Full-time schedule is typically 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
