About the Role

Fairfax Radiology Centers' PET Center in Centreville, Virginia is seeking a PET CT Technologist to provide advanced and specialized care to oncology and neurology patients using a variety of radiotracers specific to diagnosing and evaluating complex diseases and conditions. What You'll Do

• Perform PET/CT imaging for outpatient oncology patients
• Operate advanced Siemens PET/CT imaging equipment
• Produce consistently high-quality diagnostic images
• Follow established imaging protocols while maintaining exceptional image quality
• Create a calm, supportive experience for every patient
• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout each examination
• Build trust with patients during what can often be an emotional time
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical team members to support outstanding patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Follow radiation safety and quality assurance protocols
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification upon hire
• Current BLS certification
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of PET CT Technologist experience
• One or more years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Virginia Radiologic Technologist License upon hire (candidates without a Virginia license must obtain licensure within 60 days of hire)

Pay

Based on qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is $47.60 - $64.40 per hour. Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
