PET/CT Technologist

About the role

Our PET/CT technologists play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. They use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and interpret physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate software options and imaging parameters.
• Effectively communicates with patients and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and PC's.
• Troubleshoots the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• An Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• A State license, as required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license.

• Flexibility to work in various environments, including freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, and hospital-based facilities.
