About the role
Our PET/CT technologists play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. They use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and interpret physician orders.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations.
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate software options and imaging parameters.
- Effectively communicates with patients and radiologists.
- Trains new technologists and PC's.
- Troubleshoots the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- An Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
- A State license, as required.
- CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- Local travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Valid state driver’s license.

- Technical competence in interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate software options.
- Flexibility to work in various environments, including freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, and hospital-based facilities.
