Pet Care Assistant II

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for pets such as, walking, cleaning cabins and runs,
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the pets during their stay including monitoring their behavior and health and communicating any changes to the Lead on shift.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding the pet's needs and any concerns that may arise during their stay
• Perform basic cleaning tasks such as: Dishes, Landry, sweeping, mopping, trash collection, pooper scooping, lawn maintenance, cleaning kennel, etc.
• Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations with calmness and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate records of pet care activities, including feeding schedules and health observations and medicating

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet care, such as pet sitting, veterinary assistance, or animal handling, is preferred.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets during care.
• Experience working in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus.
• Able to lift heavy pets when required and manage multiple animals at once.
