Pest Technician

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
  • Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
  • Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations and educate customers on pest prevention methods.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, help with sales to current customers, and expand our product to new customers.
  • Maintain all pest control equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Operate a company provided service vehicle safely and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license from state of residence.
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
  • Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face).

Skills

  • Customer-facing experience preferred.

Schedule

Work in a variety of environments including tight, confined spaces, around animals, insects, and termites. Move around frequently, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Regularly work in your local climate in company-provided weather gear.
