About the Role

As an Orkin Pro, you’ll safely and professionally provide the highest level of pest protection and service to customers on a designated route. Your career begins with in-depth, award-winning training that equips you with the skills for daily route operations, scheduling, issue diagnosis, and treatment planning. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their problems and deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Complete Orkin’s award-winning training to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve customers.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities, including operating a company vehicle and maintaining its cleanliness.
• Follow a route schedule and daily operation plan within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrivals.
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity when interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as a problem solver for customers by listening to their needs and recommending efficient, innovative solutions.
• Meet with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services for peace of mind.
• Inspect the interior and exterior of customer properties (training provided).
• Communicate with customers to confirm satisfaction and explore further pest management options.
• Complete all required service-related documentation using a handheld device for accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• No prior pest control experience required—training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers.

Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations, including:

• Safely using a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Accessing crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and other challenging areas (climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling).
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
