Pest Control Specialist

About the role

We are a fast-growing, privately-owned pest control company focused on exceptional customer service, innovative technician training, cutting-edge service technology, and professional development. This position reports to the Service Manager at our Chesapeake, VA branch and is designed for individuals with a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills. No prior pest control or sales experience is required; we provide comprehensive classroom and field training.

The role is central to our sustainability goal, driving new service sales and retaining existing clients through inspections, estimates, new sales, and service delivery. Technicians influence customer retention and growth while working primarily outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Regular customer interaction to troubleshoot problems and communicate service details
• Work outdoors for most of the day
• Lift at least 50 lbs
• Crawl, kneel, or fit into tight spaces
• Apply liquid treatments to soil
• Perform drilling, trenching, and basic post-job cleanup
• Complete data entry and documentation on mobile devices for services performed
• Flexible availability to work Monday–Saturday during the summer season

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read and understand safety, regulatory, or protocol documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Problem-solving and practical reasoning abilities
• Pass a series of exams as part of new hire training
• Clean driving record
• Pass a background check and drug screen

All candidates must either hold an existing pest control license/certification or acquire one with company training assistance.

Benefits eligibility begins the first of the month following 60 days of employment for employees working 30+ hours per week. The company contributes to major medical premiums; employees pay a portion, and dependents are fully employee-paid.
