Responsibilities

  • Complete Orkin’s award-winning training to gain the skills and knowledge needed to serve customers effectively.
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks, including operating a company vehicle and maintaining cleanliness of equipment.
  • Follow a designated route schedule to ensure timely and professional service at each customer location.
  • Conduct property inspections (interior and exterior) and diagnose pest issues with guidance from Orkin’s training.
  • Serve as a problem solver for customers, listening to their needs and recommending efficient, innovative solutions.
  • Explain actions taken, ensure customer satisfaction, and discuss additional services to enhance pest management.
  • Complete service-related documentation using a handheld device for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain a pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company-paid).
  • Willingness to work independently in the field and interact with customers in homes or businesses.

Physical Demands

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and other areas requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
