About the role
This position supports the Personnel Security Division in assessing, validating, and certifying the trustworthiness of DIA and designated DoD-affiliated personnel for clearance access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) through case management, adjudication, to include due process in an accurate and timely manner. Additionally, this support requires experienced and professional Personnel Security Specialists to support the Continuous Evaluation System (CES) as CES Screeners.
Responsibilities
- Support the assessment, validation, and certification of personnel trustworthiness for SCI clearance access.
- Manage and validate personnel records through case management and adjudication processes.
- Conduct and/or collect national agency checks to complete investigations for adjudicative review.
- Use judgment and experience to determine when a security case is complete and prepared for adjudication.
- Communicate effectively with other officers and stakeholders across geographically dispersed sites.
- Create, manage, and close cases in appropriate security systems of record.
- Write clear and concise reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with DNI and IRPTA timelines and maintain accuracy and timeliness in tasking.
- Utilize various tools and systems including Scattered Castles, eQIP, JPAS, JVS, DCII, and CVS.
- Initiate and scope T5R background investigations.
- Perform continuous evaluation and continuous vetting as required.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with ICD704 and EO 12968; and SEAD 3, 6, and 7.
- Knowledge of and ability to meet DNI and IRPTA timelines.
- Skilled in prioritizing competing tasks while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Familiarity and experience utilizing Scattered Castles, eQIP, JPAS, JVS, DCII, and CVS.
- Experience working in DIA a plus.
- Valid certification of completion in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment (valid within 30 days of hire).
Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
- Strong writing skills, including experience and acumen in crafting analysis of data collected.
- Understanding of exceptions codes, such as waivers, conditions, and deviations.
- Knowledge of the difference between suitability determinations and security clearance determinations.
- Experience creating, managing, and closing cases in appropriate security systems of record.
- Excellent written and oral reporting skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and customers across geographically dispersed sites.

- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience with continuous evaluation and continuous vetting systems.
