Personnel Security Processor

About the role

Akima Global Technology (AGT), an Akima company, is seeking a Personnel Security Processor to support their Department of Energy (DoE) client in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, US citizenship, and be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Level clearance. Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, obtaining references, making recommendations on job classifications, wage rates, and employee salaries, and performing clerical work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants and obtains references
• Recommends placement in a well-defined occupation
• Identifies potential issues and grievance procedures
• Documents necessary information to avoid company threats
• Makes recommendations to human resource professionals on job classification, wage rates, and employee salaries
• Uses computers for organizational and reporting purposes
• Performs some clerical work
• Processes work in the priority order established by management
• Retrieves specific files directly from vault storage
• Screens information to determine required actions
• Keeps management apprised of workload status

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• US Citizenship
• Pass and obtain a DOE Q Level clearance
• Advanced typing and word processing skills
• Effective reading comprehension and detail recognition skills
• Good communication skills for obtaining information required to continue clearance actions
• Attention to detail
• Professional annotation of files
• Ability to screen and identify appropriate information for forwarding
• Capability to work on multiple types of clearance actions without losing track of designated priorities
• Ability to attain a DOE Q Level Clearance
• Active DOE Q Level clearance preferred
