About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as subject matter expert representing Civilian Personnel management processes and systems with responsibility for assessment, planning, organizing, and advising USAF senior leaders on technical and process-related aspects associated with program management and execution, resource management, systems development and implementation for related and specialized automated systems/networks, manpower and personnel policy and process coordination.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on civilian personnel management processes and systems
- Assess, plan, organize, and advise USAF senior leaders on technical and process-related aspects of program management and execution
- Manage resource management, systems development and implementation for specialized automated systems/networks
- Coordinate manpower and personnel policy and process initiatives
- Design and conduct comprehensive studies to resolve substantive problems impacting effectiveness and efficiency of work operations
- Prepare solutions for major enterprise-wide program issues
- Plan, coordinate, and execute military personnel actions and associated automated records transactions
- Negotiate effectively with managers and analysts to assess, prioritize, and implement recommendations involving substantial resources
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
- Must sign a non-disclosure agreement
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and USAF organizations, associated legislation, policies, and directives
- Extensive knowledge of civilian personnel management, manpower management, related management information systems, and common project management practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, guidelines, concepts, principles, and practices
- Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems and issues impacting effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a major enterprise-wide program
- Skill in planning, coordinating, and executing military personnel actions and associated automated records transactions
- Understanding of AF and DoD automated human resources management and pay systems
- Ability to plan, organize, and negotiate effectively with managers and analysts to assess, prioritize, and implement recommendations where proposals involve substantial resources and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures
Pay
Salary Range: $91,476 - $118,857
