Position Overview
We are looking for a Personal Training Manager that supports a high-performance, high-care culture that operates with speed and urgency in delivering results through member integration, programming, and development. They create a warm, kind, and hospitable club, allowing everyone to achieve their goals in a "no judgments" environment.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage performance of a team of qualified Personal Trainers and Personal Training Sales Consultants
- Aid in the development and fitness expertise of all Crunch team members
- Meet both new client acquisition and existing client retention targets for the club
- Coach and guide direct reports on how to engage, prescribe, acquire, and retain clients
- Conduct 1:1 meetings with direct reports to review performance, motivate, and guide to achieving individual and company goals
- Administer and manage the CrunchOne Kickoff experience through demonstrating, coaching, and guiding with the goal of acquiring personal training clients
- Ensure accurate administration of PT services including, but not limited to, dotFIT program and supplements, client programming, and progress tracking
- Maintain accurate reporting and data for insights into performance of the department
- Isolate, align, and direct resources informed by KPIs & organizational priorities
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to all member inquiries within 24 hours
- Report to the Managing Partner and Market PTM on key results and action plans
- Maintain accurate time clock and personal training session utilization records for proper labor controls and integrity
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification/CPR records of all personal training staff
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a personal trainer required
- Experience executing plans and managing KPIs required
- Experience managing and leading a team of 3-10 employees preferred
- Must have solid understanding of fitness industry, market and key business drivers
- CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Certification required in one or more approved Nationally Accredited Certifications: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer Health Fitness Specialist American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer Certification The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer Certification International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) International Sports Sciences Association (with NCCA accreditation) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
- Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor degree preferred
