Responsibilities
- Teach group fitness classes – promote and assist with registration, report for scheduled classes on time and ready to teach a goal-specific and thorough class with preparation and professionalism.
- Cookbook Personal Training sessions – promote and assist with registration, report for scheduled sessions on time and prepared to work with clients through a goal-specific and thorough workout with professionalism.
- Ensure safety throughout the facility and session; document any injury, illness, or suspected health issue and inform supervisor.
- Maintain a respectful and safe environment for all participants.
- Manage class cancellations and communicate with supervisor and participants, communicate with clients regarding scheduling, regularly check email and respond promptly.
- Attend required trainings and keep certifications up-to-date.
- Complete surveys and questionnaires as requested.
- Maintain studio/fitness center space – remove any trash and return and organize any equipment used for sessions.
- Notify supervisor if any equipment is missing or damaged.
- Monitor the performance of microphones, sound systems, and other technology and report any problems with equipment or software to supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Obtain and maintain current nationally accredited group fitness and/or personal trainer certification(s).
- Current certification in either American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED is required prior to teaching.
Pay
The expected hiring range for this position is $35 to $55 per hour, based on the position’s scope and responsibilities.
