About the role
We're looking for a motivated and results-driven Personal Lines Producer to join our dynamic team in Stafford Springs, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful client relationships while driving new business growth in the personal insurance market.
- Combine sales expertise with a genuine passion for helping clients protect what matters most to them.
- Execute targeted sales activities including cold calls, in-person appointments, and prospect presentations to close new business and expand your client base.
- Develop and maintain a robust book of business, ensuring high renewal rates and long-term client satisfaction through proactive relationship management.
- Leverage industry-leading sales and marketing tools to identify prospects, track opportunities, and execute results-oriented campaigns.
- Collaborate effectively with Client Service teams to analyze renewal business, identify cross-sell opportunities, and seamlessly place new accounts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in personal insurance products, staying current with industry trends and best practices to provide clients with tailored solutions.
- Mentor and support less experienced Producers, sharing sales methodologies and guiding them through the production cycle to foster team success.
- Maintain detailed records and analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued Property and Casualty or Life and Health Insurance Producer License.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or a related field of study.
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in an insurance sales role, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency with professional software programs including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities to juggle multiple clients and priorities effectively.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of personal insurance products including auto, homeowners, umbrella, and related coverage types.
- Assertive yet empathetic approach to sales with genuine interest in understanding client needs and providing solutions.
