About the Role

The Personal Risk Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires supporting them in day-to-day account management for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic, and other written communications. You will handle the marketing and renewal process in collaboration with the Account Executives and Advisors, prepare materials for presentations and communications, and assist team members with day-to-day client servicing. You will take an active role in client meetings and develop and maintain relationships with clients and carrier contacts while working proactively to deliver services efficiently.

This is a full-time role based in our Wilmington, NC office. Standard work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST. An in-office presence is ideal to support collaboration, business learning, and our exceptional client service model. Candidates within a reasonable commuting distance must work on a hybrid schedule. A fully remote option may be considered only for highly experienced, P&C-licensed professionals who live outside a regular commuting distance but remain within the EST/Mid-Atlantic region and are able to report to the office when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Work proactively to maintain relationships with carrier and client contacts.
  • Lead client meetings for accounts assigned to you.
  • Handle the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with Account Executives and Advisors.
  • Communicate directly with clients and carriers, in collaboration with Account Executives or Advisor/Client Executives.
  • Create and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures.
  • Keep client policy records in the agency management system.
  • Manage an assigned book of business.

Requirements

  • More than 2 years of Personal Lines experience, including recent retail brokerage or agency experience.
  • Experience with East Coast markets preferred.
  • EPIC or similar agency management systems experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education and/or related training is preferred.
  • A P&C Insurance License is required upon hire.

  • Sharp attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology.
  • If working from home, must maintain a confidential workspace and high-speed internet.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $57,000 to $62,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST.
