Personal Lines Account Manager
About the role
HUB is a global insurance and employee benefits broker with over 18,000 employees in 600 offices across North America. We have grown significantly through successful mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the Personal Lines department.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of insurance business, making major decisions independently
- Provide professional, courteous service to clients, carriers, underwriters, and HUB colleagues
- Develop new business from existing accounts and assigned leads
- Resolve escalated complex service issues with carriers
- Troubleshoot claims and billing issues
- Mentor and support Account Managers as needed
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience in insurance account management
- Agency experience preferred
- Prior experience with high net worth accounts
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Licensed in required lines and states
- Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states
- Advanced professional designation (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Superior customer service and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Experience in negotiating with underwriters and carriers
- Ability to troubleshoot claims and billing issues
- Experience in managing and organizing client meetings
- Proficiency in documenting conversations and updating HUB computer systems

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually, impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in the office.
