Manage a book of personal-lines insurance business, market new and renewal policies, and expand client accounts while fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Personal Lines Sales Producer in maintaining client insurance policies.
  • Prepare endorsements and submit them to insurance carriers.
  • Process policy cancellations.
  • Educate clients on coverages and recommend solutions to meet their insurance needs.
  • Handle renewals, remarket policies as needed, develop proposals, and present them to clients.
  • Address or refer insured’s questions, delegating to the appropriate team member when necessary.
  • Actively refer clients to Benefits and Commercial Lines departments for new business opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed customer records in agency management systems (Applied EPIC and CSR 24).
  • Build and maintain healthy working relationships with underwriters, carriers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to reconcile discrepancies as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Personal Lines Insurance experience.
  • Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Applied Epic or a similar Account Management System (AMS).
  • Designations such as CISR, CIC, or CPRIA preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Repeated use of sight for reading documents and computer screens.
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate via telephone and in person.
  • Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, and 10-key use.
  • Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions.
