Responsibilities

  • Handle a book of business by building relationships with each account and ensuring activities are settled efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, and claims processing.
  • Advise clients on our “value” proposition to shift focus from price to comprehensive coverage.
  • Conduct coverage and exposure reviews with existing clients to ensure adequate coverage at the time of a loss, including addressing adverse loss experience.
  • Contact new clients within 30-45 days of their new business effective date to introduce yourself, address outstanding issues, and confirm preferred communication methods.
  • Review potential non-renewal issues with management and discuss with carriers regarding reinstatement or rewriting coverage.
  • Quote and issue mid-term rewrites as exposures change.
  • Review renewal increases over established thresholds, seek rate relief options from carriers, and task the Placement Specialist team if marketing is required.
  • Contact clients who have cancelled or requested cancellation to determine reasons for their decision, establish controls to re-solicit coverage, and discuss findings with the sales team and management.
  • Communicate directly with insurance company underwriters to resolve outstanding or potential issues and protect clients’ insurability.
  • Document all interactions (phone calls, emails, meetings, etc.) in the company system so any team member can assist the client.
  • Obtain and update clients’ primary contact information, focusing on email addresses and best contact phone numbers.
  • Advise clients on preferred premium payment methods such as EFT, recurring credit card, and paid-in-full options.
  • Confirm appropriate tasks are created in the company system to properly service clients and follow up on pending activities until completion.
  • Handle Reg. 34 issues and follow up with the DMV to resolve potential license/registration suspensions for clients.
  • Keep clients informed throughout the entire process.
  • Meet established metrics/expectations for the position, including account servicing activity, referral activity, call volume, attendance, and quality control audits.
  • Handle routine service matters when PL Assistants are unavailable, including Carco, insured payments, ID cards, binders, and payments.
  • Stay informed on important insurance coverage issues and carrier underwriting guidelines, premium-saving credits, and technology platforms.
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skills and knowledge development.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and compliance with, all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls, and complete all training requirements in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (College Degree preferred).
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Florida resident 4-40 license required; must maintain license through continuing education.
  • One to three or more years of insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong expertise and knowledge in policy coverage.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Ability to use menu-driven software, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay

Minimum USD $22.60/Hr. Maximum USD $33.93/Hr.

Schedule

40 hours a week.
