Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
- Manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload during the litigation phase.
- Draft litigation documents including pleadings, Bills of Particulars, discovery responses, authorizations, stipulations, motions, and other case-related filings.
- Prepare, file, and serve legal documents through NYSCEF while ensuring compliance with New York court rules and filing deadlines.
- Cook up depositions, court conferences, independent medical examinations (IMEs), mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation-related proceedings.
- Review, organize, and maintain medical records, medical billing, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case materials.
- Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, document indexes, and attorney case materials.
- Maintain accurate case calendars and proactively follow up on outstanding discovery and case requirements.
- Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and court reporting services regarding case progression.
- Organize electronic case files and ensure all litigation documents are accurately maintained within the firm's case management system.
- Aid attorneys with case preparation for depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
- Perform additional litigation support responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
- Proficiency in legal software such as Litify, eCourts, and legal databases.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Demonstrated team collaboration experience.
- Professional interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to upholding ethical standards.

- Basic understanding of legal research methodologies.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies or legal assistance.
Compensation
The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
