Personal Injury Litigation Attorney
Position Overview
The Litigation Associate Attorney will manage plaintiff personal injury matters from filing through resolution while collaborating closely with experienced attorneys on case strategy. This role offers hands-on litigation experience, significant client interaction, and the opportunity to work on complex and high-value cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury litigation matters from filing through resolution.
- Conduct case investigations to establish liability and evaluate damages.
- Draft, file, and argue pleadings, discovery motions, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare and oppose dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment.
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with attorneys and legal staff.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
- Handle discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Advocate on behalf of clients through all stages of litigation.
Qualifications
- Active license to practice law and in good standing in Illinois.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Prior plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
- Demonstrated trial experience, including civil jury trials to verdict.
- Strong understanding of personal injury litigation procedures and applicable state laws.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary of $115,000-$185,000, depending on experience.
