Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Personal Injury Legal Assistant to support a busy team of trial attorneys handling plaintiff personal injury matters in both state and federal courts. This role is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys managing litigation files, working closely with attorneys and paralegals, and delivering exceptional client service throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of plaintiff personal injury litigation, including preparing correspondence, pleadings, motions, objections, and case materials
  • Manage personal injury case files, coordinate discovery, organize medical records, and prepare medical evidence for hearings and trial
  • File and serve legal documents in state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with court rules, deadlines, and electronic filing requirements
  • Communicate professionally with clients, claims adjusters, court personnel, opposing counsel, and medical providers while maintaining exceptional client service
  • Cook up attorney calendars, court appearances, permanent impairment evaluations, and litigation deadlines while maintaining organized case files
  • Provide administrative and litigation support while collaborating with attorneys and paralegals to ensure cases progress efficiently

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of legal assistant experience, with personal injury experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing plaintiff personal injury files, medical records, claims adjuster communications, and litigation support
  • Knowledge of state and federal court procedures, discovery processes, litigation deadlines, and electronic filing systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and legal case management systems; Filevine experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational, proofreading, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Compensation and Benefits
