Personal Care Assistant

About the role

The Caregiver position at Savant of Santa Monica is seeking a team player who can commit to enhancing the lives of senior residents through exceptional care and engaging programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Report to the Wellness Director and provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• A competent history in a similar facility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid First Aid Certification.
• Fluency in English speaking, reading, and understanding.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Qualifications

• May need to possess current CPR certification.
• Must have a passion for senior care.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of senior care practices and procedures.

Pay

$21.00 - $23.50 per hour
